Youth and Community Work
Before stepping into the world of coaching I focused my career on youth and community work.

I was raised in youth clubs, gained a degree in youth and community work and slowly began to the climb from assistant youth worker to CEO of a small charity in Leicester.
Working with young people from all different walks of life and young people with their own individual challenges, I began to see the power of making trusting connections with people.
I have created youth projects with organisations such as Young Leicestershire, The Centre Project, Leicester Rape Crisis, Pedestrian Arts, and 2Funky Arts. I love the voluntary sector and embrace the entrepreneurial nature of the work. I have worked on funding bids that have created £850K worth of free support to vulnerable communities. I have created educational pakages that have been delivered to over 5000 young people. I have supported and line managed front line workers and mentored them through personal and professional development.
After 15 years in the field I was honoured to receive the High Sheriffs of Leicestershire's Award in recognition to services to the community.
I am super excited to see that the next few years bring. I have always wanted to create my own organisation. I have a masterplan and this website is the culmination of my skills and my vision.
I continue to deliver project management services with 2Funky Arts for the project Belgrave Beats where we deliver Breakdancing, Mcing and Djing sessions within the Belgrave area of Leicester. I also provide freelance music tutor services for Pedestrian Arts, delivering music creation and song writing sessions.

I would love to have my own premises where I could create a women's only music studio and creative space.
I understand the issues that women and girls can face in the creative industries and I want to break down the barriers of access to create high quality music and arts.
I want to coach, mentor and support women and girls to integrate their passion into their every day life.
I want to support the growth of the next generation of young local creatives, drawing on all my skills of youth work, coaching and life as an independent artist.
